My Background

I have an Economics degree and I’m a certified, highly motivated and goal orientated FISD / SIIA Financial Information (FIA) industry professional with expertise in reference & market data, asset classes, funds, pre & post trade processes, corporate actions, pricing, BICs, IBANs, SEPA, FX payments and settlement.

Additionally, I have a high level of experience in internal and external stakeholder management, product content, process mapping, change programme initiatives, and acquired great leadership experiences whilst managing Agile projects & my teams.

I made strong contributions to the development, implementation, marketing and promotion of new financial products & services, as well as enhancing company profile and brand awareness via numerous financial industry B2B conferences such as Eagle Alpha, FISD, FIMA, IACT Corporate Treasury and The Full FX.

My experiences also extended to the pre & post sales processes, customer relationship management (CRM), RFPs / RFIs – plus banking and institutional client account management worth £/$ millions annually – where my knowledge of AML, KYC, due diligence and industry regulations have proven useful.

Tenures Include (but are not limited to)

  • The Capital Group

  • Dun & Bradstreet

  • SWIFT

  • Standard and Poors’

  • The Royal Bank of Scotland

Some Career Highlights & Achievements

  • Buy-Side & Asset Management experience in company with $3.0 trillion AUM, and also worked on multiple IPOs including Google and RightMove. I also worked with Portfolio managers, traders & analysts etc - and I have an extensive knowledge of capital markets, instruments & asset classes - including equities, bonds, ETD, OTC and FX.

  • During my tenure at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), I was responsible for the their most important business partner called Bisnode & managed a $3.6 million annual budget for data for 18 countries. Bisnode was deemed to be an extremely important and critical resource, as it had data for 12 of the top 30 country list, hence they were acquired in 2021 by D&B for $812m.

  • Leadership & management of an agile project to procure and ingest new geo-location data for business entities. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, I negotiated to acquire more & better-quality country data from the vendor, at a cost that was below the previous 7-figure contract. Two of the stakeholders which I provided regular updates to, was the ‘Senior VP Global Data Owner’ and the ‘Chief Data Officer (CDO)’.

  • Both Nasdaq & CLS sold the FX MarketData of CLS Group/Bank to clients, after forming an alliance some years prior. However in 2023, a decision was made by CLS to be the sole sellers of the dataset, hence all Nasdaq clients had to be switched over – which although sounded simple, was anything but. E.g. a number of Nasdaq clients had bespoke datasets which were created by a co-mingling of other datasets. Hence, the Head of MarketData & I, co-managed the complex transition of clients to CLS, which include the creation of new datasets and ensuring that all clients continued to receive data prior to, during & after their respective contract renewal dates. There was no room for error as clients were using the FX MarketData to aid significant investments decisions.
